The Role

We’re currently seeking a leader for our design team at our in-house creative agency. This role creatively and strategically supports key business objectives and directs leading-edge video, animation and photography production that elevates our brand story. The candidate is a leader, tightly partnering with the agency’s creative director, copy and other design team managers to develop strategic integrated marketing campaigns based on fresh concepts and storytelling ideas that meet project goals and maximize the impact of each marketing message.
As the Manager of Creative Design, the candidate is responsible for overseeing the production of a wide range of projects for web, paid media, social, etc., while championing our collaborative model of execution. The candidate will be able to guide content creation that follows pre-established brand standards — and when necessary — collaborate with creative and brand team leads to further establish our visual identity. Because the candidate’s experience is in Art Direction, they are able to quickly and creatively problem solve appropriate design solutions for the team when necessary. Qualified candidates must have previous experience within the technology industry, preferably within B2B enterprise solutions as well as experience leading a team of designers in an informal or formal way.

This is a remote opportunity open to candidates located anywhere in the U.S.
The Main Responsibilities
- Work strategically with our creative leadership to ensure work is delivered with the highest levels of creativity and production value, and that it meets or exceeds industry standards
- Act as creative lead for all projects, partnering with videographers, producers, crews, editors, graphic artists to achieve the finished product
- Set the creative North Star for all team members on a project
- Develop and pitch creative concepts to internal stakeholders and executive leadership
- Assist in creative problem solving during project scoping, offering creative ways to work within project requirements and budget
- Write creative briefs, outlines and foster cross-team collaboration with our copywriters web team
- Guide and direct layout, illustration, animation, UI design and more
- Work with and guide Art Directors during projects, provide creative direction and participate in reviews
- Be a “hands-on” creative director with a full knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
What We Look For in a Candidate
- BA in Marketing, Design or similar or comparable experience
- 8+ experience of relevant experience spanning pre-production, production and post-production
- Strong understanding of graphic design principles, methods and practices, as well as all phases of design, production, and delivery
- Previous experience managing people or leading a campaign concept team is required
- Solid knowledge of integrated marketing campaign strategy
- Agency experience a plus
- Strong skills in ideating and conceptualizing
