First Tube, a Horizon Media company, enables brands to create compelling livestreaming and immersive experiences on and across multiple consumer-facing platforms. We work with top-tier brands, such as BACARDI, MasterCard, and New Balance, to craft immersive experiences that create higher levels of engagement than other forms of traditional media.

LiveAmp is First Tube’s campaign amplification product suite. We are building new ways for clients to leverage livestreams, as well as emerging technologies, to create new interaction models and bring experiences to a broader set of audiences, including the use of machine learning and AI to optimize campaigns, programmatically create new campaigns, and gain business intelligence and insights into campaign performance.

Your Role:

This mission-critical technical lead role is responsible for (1) brand-facing tools for our customers, especially analytics and data visualization, and (2) consumer-facing products we provide to brands to craft their fan experiences, including livestreaming solutions. You will collaborate with the head of product, other developers, UI/UX and design leaders, and a production team to ensure we have the best-in-class platform for creating, managing, and quantifying the ROI of our customers’ campaigns.


  • Defining detailed product and technical specs from high-level product requirements in collaboration with product managers
  • Making tech stack, architectural, and detailed design choices in collaboration with team members
  • Hands-on coding
  • Leading the team to deliver on time and with high-quality
  • Guiding engineers in work breakdown for Sprint planning and management
  • Identifying risks and forming contingency plans in a timely manner
  • Leading devops and operations with our SRE team
  • Mentoring and motivating team members
  • Helping to maintain a highly transparent, collaborative, and respectful team environment


  • 10+ years of overall backend or distributed systems engineering experience
  • 2+ years of data engineering, ETL, or data integrations experience
  • Able to tackle all types of software challenges, with experience across data processing, backend application engineering, and devops
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and bringing your ideas to the table
  • Experience working in a lightweight, early-stage environment and helping to define solutions in the face of uncertainty and ambiguity
  • Strong experience building user-facing analytics web applications
  • Experience with API-based data integrations
  • Experience with data processing frameworks like Flink or Spark
  • Comfortable working across different languages, with good python experience
  • AWS or other Cloud experience
  • Ad Tech experience a strong plus
