The Lead Security Architect determines security architecture requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements. The Lead Security Architect works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
The Lead Architect (EIP) translates business needs into technical security strategies, architecture, systems solutions and roadmaps for various enterprise and cloud provider environments. The Lead Architect provides strategic advice and guidance to functional team(s). Experienced with cloud & enterprise security in all areas of security domains.

The Lead Security Architect will play a key role in helping establish a practice to define, develop, socialize, and implement security architecture to ensure the enterprise can achieve the enterprise security strategy. The Lead Security Architect will work with stakeholders and industry experts to understand and build an alignment on the various architectural technology standards. This role will also apply enterprise security architecture governance over solutions that provide technical capabilities.
Responsibilities:
· Work with various stakeholders to build an enterprise alignment around security strategy, standards, architectures, roadmaps, and terminology using TOGAF and/or SABSA</span> methodology.
· Facilitate the creation of clear, concise, and easy to access technology standards to provide engineering teams with tactical direction for achieving the enterprise security strategy. Clearly communicate and evangelize the value associated with adhering to the security strategy and corresponding standards.
· Create visibility and build awareness of the gap between current state security implementation versus future state architecture and advocate for gaps to be filled.
· Implement complex security capabilities by partnering with various engineering teams. This includes working with engineering teams to understand and implement security architecture standards, and guiding engineering teams through the Technology Review Board and Architecture Review Board processes and participating in technology evaluations.
· Infrastructure and systems are using modern design and best practice for scalability and resiliency.
Required Qualifications
· Comprehensive experience with Azure, GCP and AWS cloud providers and their capabilities
· Experience in developing security architectures using SABSA</span> or other security frameworks.
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Computer Science or related relevant experience
· 7+ years of experience architecting cloud solutions in Azure, GCP or AWS</span>
· 7+ years of experience with Zero Trust, Infrastructure Security, Endpoint Detection and Response, Identity Access and Management Solutions.
· Ability to partner within and across teams to gain consensus and enable change
· Ability to influence stakeholders
· Ability to drive tasks to completion
· Strong communication skills for creating and sharing presentations to multiple levels of audiences of stakeholders – i.e. senior executives in business and IT, architects, developers, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
· Negotiation and mediation skills
· Healthcare experience
· Master’s degree
· CISSP or CEH or similar certification
Remote/WAH requirements:
- WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
- A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25×10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
