The Lead Generation Specialist is a pivotal position responsible for driving high-quality leads and expanding our organic reach through news channels, hosting in-person events, generating educational content, and networking.

This role demands an individual who thrives in high-intensity environments, exhibits robust self-management skills, and is driven by impactful work.

You will face dynamic and interesting challenges and have the opportunity to define our Growth processes, while also tackling the smaller tasks with care and attention to detail. We are looking for someone to enter this position as a generalist who is ready to roll up their sleeves and get work done in a self-guided environment. As the team grows, you will be able to craft your role into the focus areas that most interest you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive deal flow through:
    • Strategic media channels, specifically pitching content and thought leadership to local and national media outlets
    • Identifying and build relationships with strategic business networks
    • Developing, launching and managing associate / organic referral programs
    • Cultivating other sourcing partnership
  • Work with Cofounders to plan, create, and promote high-quality content to educate our target audiences of business owners and investors, including:
    • SEO and technical content (written + other)
    • Workshops and webinars
    • Whitepapers
    • Guest contributed articles
    • Newsletters and email marketing
  • Organize strategic community events that augment our sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Develop Organic / content / market education / awareness metrics and report regularly on them to stakeholders.

Compensation:

The salary for this role will range between $95,000 – $120,000 commensurate with experience.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of B2B marketing experience.
  • Proven track record in media relations development or a similar role.
  • Exceptional writing prowess.
  • Experience in a highly independent, remote first role within a startup.
  • Experience developing and managing a content strategy operation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in partnership cultivation.
  • Stellar project management and communication skills.
  • Experience in small or high-intensity startup teams.
  • Strong intuition for adapting messaging to different audiences including owners, employees, investors, etc.

Nice-to-have Skills:

  • Proficiency in customer development.
  • Proficiency with digital marketing tools and best practices.
  • Experience marketing or selling to SMBs.
  • Experience reporting directly to Founder/CEO.
