The Data Engineering Chapter works across multiple business domains to build thoughtfully architected, performant, scalable, data products using the Vistaprint Data Platform.

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our Customer and Business Modeling Domain to build subscription-based data products and allow reporting and data science capabilities of the performance of one of our Vista sub-brands for website creation: Wix platform.

What You Will Do:

  • Build production grade data products including foundational data sets using technologies such as Snowflake, S3, Databricks (Spark), Matillion, Looker and more
  • This is a partnership-heavy role who partners closely with teams in Vista’s digital subscription and Vista Corporate Solutions. Through the consulting-nature of our team, you will contribute to a variety of projects and technologies, depending on partner needs. The broad range of partners equates to a broad range of projects and deliverables: datasets, measurements, dashboarding, tools and process.
  • Work directly with analysts, data engineers, product owners in a cross functional, agile, software development team
  • Optimize and maintain existing data pipelines and executing quality checks to ensure the integrity of the data.
  • Integrate data products with Vistaprint’s suite of microservices for use in analytic solutions and customer facing features on our website or marketing channels
  • Provide feedback for new features to the Vistaprint Data Platform team
  • Potential to manage 1-3 junior data engineers including performance reviews, feedback, and career growth / mentorship

Your Qualifications:

  • Coding proficiency in at least one modern programming language, e.g.: Python.
  • Strong skills in SQL
  • Strong experience building complex ETL data pipelines with scheduling and monitoring (e.g., with DBT and or Airflow) for batch processing and real-time data
  • Experience with cloud services in AWS (Preferred), Azure or Google
  • Experience handling large volume data as well as both structured/unstructured data of various quality
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Problem solving and multi-tasking ability in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with reporting tools like Looker would be a great plus
  • Experience with NoSql databases and hadoop ecosystem (especially streaming data)
  • Statistics experience is a plus!
  • Familiarity with API’s/microservices (REST)
