Title: IT Resource Coordinator

As a GuidePoint Security IT Resource Coordinator, you will be responsible for helping the IT department optimize resources, providing insight into resource workloads and availability.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the appropriate management teams to understand resource skill sets
  • Create and maintain the necessary resource management reports, methodology and process documentation
  • Responsible for identifying current resourcing gaps and understand when specific roles/skill sets will be available to take on new work
  • Ensure that the available resources are working on the highest priority efforts that are best aligned with the strategic goals of the organization
  • Responsible for allocating IT resources to ensure timelines and deliverables are met
  • Monitor and manage resource workloads, identifying and addressing instances of over or underutilization
  • Responsible for following up with IT resources to ensure that the necessary datapoints are current and that task burndown is occurring daily
  • Responsible for monitoring resources for progress, efficiency and effectiveness, continuously seeking to optimize resources to deliver the highest value to the company
  • Ensure regular and timely communications are distributed to necessary management teams
  • Assist with scheduling and organizing project meetings, taking meeting notes and sending out a detailed recap
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • Proven resource management skills, with the ability to forecast, allocate, and schedule resources effectively
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for all tasks assigned
  • Ability to operate independently, identify areas for improvement, and drive the implementation of solutions
  • Ability to help IT resources clearly understand their priorities in an environment where work items are created and assigned daily
  • Understanding of a broad range of information technology and disciplines
  • Demonstrated successful leadership of personnel, including the ability to lead, mentor and develop team members
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical resources and senior management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to perform complex tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence is required

Educational & Professional Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years’ experience managing IT projects

Travel & Office Location

  • Approximately 10% out-of-town travel to regional offices and/or data centers
  • Resource Coordinator will work remotely or the closest regional office when not traveling

Physical Requirements

  • Sedentary work
  • Substantial movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers for a minimum of 8 hours a day
  • Required to have close visual acuity to view computer terminal and/or extensive reading for a minimum of 8 hours a day
