Position Summary

The IT Project Manager is responsible for driving all phases of projects to successful completion. Working with Product Management and IT functional teams is part of the day-to-day responsibilities. The Project Manager is responsible for providing day to day leadership, management and coordination of all activities pertaining to project direction, planning and resource allocations. Assembles implementation teams and manages the activities the team is responsible to deliver, anticipating potential challenges, helping to remove barriers and escalating issue when needed. Acting as the customer’s primary point of contact as it relates to project implementation activities, the Project Manager effectively monitors, documents, and communicates status and progress. Skilled at using effective communication and change management best practices, to ensure stakeholders are informed throughout the process, as well as prepared and ready for project launch.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, model and leverage Project Management best practices
  • Provide expertise in primarily agile project management but also waterfall methodologies
  • Support scrum ceremonies (Product back log refinement, Sprint planning, Daily standup, Retrospectives)
  • Manage projects with specific focus on deliverables, tasks, quality standards and due dates
  • Use strong project management and change management practices and contribute to standard Platform Product production and implementations methodologies and management
  • Maintain regular, two-way communication with all project team members and other stakeholders to ensure efficient operations and successful implementations
  • Troubleshoot project problems and develop plans to adhere to timelines
  • Anticipate risk and issues while capturing options and solutions and considering impact of decisions
  • Act as initial point of contact for issues, escalating unresolved concerns to leadership for guidance with proposed options
  • Identify project duration, effort, sequence, and dependencies of tasks required to meet applicable project objective
  • Maintain project planning, status and reporting in Jira
  • Adhere to internal policies and controls within the organization; establish and enforce processes that deliver the expected outcomes with accuracy and reliability

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Applicable experience will be considered in lieu of required degree
  • 5+ years Healthcare IT Project Managements experience Required
  • At least 3 years hands-on experience being part of and managing Scrum teams Required (Not just certifications)
  • Ability to own and drive multiple projects and initiatives from conception to successful implementation Required
  • Ability to creatively problem-solve and to circumvent blockers keeping up the team’s momentum
  • Experience with Healthcare industry, Product, and IT systems
  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence or similar tools
  • Supported Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid projects
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities to meet project deadlines
  • Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Experience leading and/or coaching a team
  • Thriving in a startup type environment, company going through hypergrowth, mentoring and coaching team members to adopt Agile/Scrum methodologies
