About The Team
The IT team is focused on enabling Life360 staff to have the tools, support, and equipment they need to be successful. The IT team is responsible for helpdesk, employee permissions management, hardware support, supporting in-office technology (yes, we still have offices!), and business applications.
About the Job
Reporting to the IT Manager, this role will support day-to-day automations, work to build scalable long-term automation and assist team members in a fast-growing, remote-first company, and will form part of the global IT Operations team.
The US-based salary range for this position is $125,000 to $165,000. We take into consideration an individual’s background and experience in determining final salary- therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.
What Youll Do
- Design and implement SOX Control Automation that removes or reduces the manual work required of IT and Control Owners. Work across the business to understand where inefficiencies can be corrected with automation.
- Build automation between disparate systems, both internally developed and external tools, to support business efficiency. Utilize API integration and code-less tools to build scripted automation from the ground up.
- Help build tools that support our move toward role-driven access controls and governance.
- Support and extend existing automation. Recommend improvements to automation where necessary.
- Extend our existing workflow systems (Jira, GitHub, AWS, etc) to introduce automation touch points that remove manual tasks.
- Work with the compliance team to design time and need-based automation triggers to ensure compliance-related controls are executed correctly and on schedule.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for automation processes, workflows, and configurations.
- Act as a top escalation point for incoming Help Desk requests.
- Participate in on-call rotations.
- Develop automated monitoring solutions to detect and address issues proactively.
- Mentor team members on best practices, building efficiently, and scalability.
What Were Looking For
- Be a result-driven, strong critical thinker.
- Have a deep understanding of API functionality.
- Deep understanding of tools such as Postman, Tray, Zapier, GAM, OIG, Terraform, and Okta Workflows.
- Good working knowledge of programming concepts, able to describe a solution in pseudo-code before implementation, or having a preferred language for this work.
- Demonstrable experience in Okta, AWS, Google Workspace, GitHub, and Atlassian administration and integration.
- Previous experience implementing RBAC.
- Good communication skills and ability to create training materials and stand-alone documentation
- The following are preferred: Okta Workflows Certification, Tray Build Practitioner Certificates, Groovy/ScriptRunner experience, Scripting experience (any language)
