What You’ll Do
As an Integrations Engineer at CareRev you will be building connection points between CareRev’s production product and our customer’s business systems. Our production system is written mainly with Ruby backed by PostgreSQL. Our clients business systems cover a wide range from Lawson to Kronos to Workday, and more. Healthcare systems use a wide variety of business systems and we want our data to quickly move around seamlessly with our customers. Examples of things you might build include the ability to trigger remote functional calls to operate on data in our partners systems that’s not available in our system.
We are a YC S16 graduate and believe in quickly iterating to build products that people want. We deploy multiple times a day and work within a hybrid/scrum system. We believe in the agile manifesto, but not the industry straight jacket that has arisen around what it means to be “agile”. Build stuff that works, communicate across the company, react quickly to production issues in system/feature performance, have ideas on solutions to ever-evolving problems, respect and collaborate with fellow CareRevengineers, CareRevers, and customers.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years programming experience with Ruby and/or similar languages (Python, Perl, PHP, JS)
- 3+ years experience with data transformation process
- 3+ years experience integrating complex software applications
- 3+ years of experience coding with 3rd party APIs such as:
- RESTful services
- SOAP services
- Flat file interfaces
- Callback hooks
- Experience with
- independently breaking down complex projects with nebulous requirements into small deliverables
- event fire hoses
- practices like feature flags, various method of testing, pair programming, and trunk based development
- Proficiency in working with Unix-like environments
- Solid understanding and application of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Demonstrated ability to shape, and thrive, in a high growth fast paced environment
