BASIC FUNCTION:

The Instructional Designer will use high-end learning content development methodology to create virtual, instructor-led curriculum, content, and materials regarding Change. They will collaborate with the Change Enablement team to ensure the learning content is design to provide maximum learning and retention for participants. This role will focus on creating learning curricula and content to ensure our people have the knowledge and ability needed to manage change, adapt quickly, and adopt new ways of working.

They will design learner-focused instructional materials that will include facilitator guides, participant guides, PowerPoint presentations, job aids, and other documentation and materials as required. This position is 100% remote.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Instructional Design: Experienced utilizing adult learning and instructional design principles and techniques to create content and materials to be used for virtual, instructor-led facilitation (PowerPoints, Guides, etc.) and self-learning (handouts, FAQs, job aids, etc.)
  • Collaborative: Highly proficient at working with internal stakeholders and SMEs to plan, define, document, and develop the learning experience.
  • Project Management: Skilled at scoping the work and developing timelines, prioritizing work, managing details, keeping tasks and projects on track, and delivering consistent, high-quality products and consistent results.
  • Communication: Communicate well with all Change Enablement team members and SMEs, gather and assimilate information quickly, keep everyone informed throughout the decision and approval process.
  • Writing & Proofing: Must possess strong writing, storytelling, proofreading and editing skills.
  • Agile: Handles change and a dynamic work environment well. Performs other duties as assigned.

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Training, Instructional Design, eLearning, Digital Learning, Learning/Organizational Development, or related field.
  • 4-7 years in a directly related role, creating, and designing learning content.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/tasks. Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; critical thinking skill with the ability to analyze situations, prioritize to meet deadlines, work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and be a team player.
  • Prosci change certification and/or knowledge and background in change management learning development, helpful but not required.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must have the ability to perform basic office tasks and work in a typical office setting. Employee will be sitting for extended periods of time and accomplishing work at a desk and work at a computer for an extended period. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills to adequately convey ideas and work well with a team. Ability to talk and hear, sit and use their hands and fingers, and reach in all directions is essential in performance of the job. Some lifting and moving of items up to 25 pounds required. Work during established business hours and may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

FULL-TIME REMOTE:

These roles and job functions can be done remotely, while maintaining our strong commitment to customer service and our business goals. Employees are welcome to come to an office to work if needed, and some travel for team meetings will be required.

PAY RANGE:

Minimum – $68,675.25 – Max – $114,458.75

This range is reflective of the national salary average for this position and will be adjusted using geographic variance for physical location of the hired candidate. American AgCredit may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.
