The change team are looking for a Head of PMO to support the team with the growth and new major change programmes.

Job Description:

What you’ll be doing:

  • Programme & Project Management – Supports the activity of defining policy and standards across the business. Provide extensive guidance to teams.
  • Governance – Support the activity of defining policy and standards, project / programme Governance processes, reporting and decision-making hierarchy’s organisation wide.
  • Planning & Scheduling – Create comprehensive, integrated plans at the project, programme and portfolio level for complex, standard and major projects and programmes and portfolios that enable effective monitoring and control. Create consolidated planning outputs to support programme and portfolio management reporting and governance.
  • Resource Management – Identify and assign resources from a pool; support business decisions by assessing supply and demand, availability, utilisation and capacity to meet current and future demand. Ensure timely resourcing of new projects and programmes. Monitor the adherence to resource management processes and procedures.
  • Risk & Issue Management – Establish, lead and manage the implementation of risk and issue management processes, tools and techniques across programme / portfolio.
    Budget / Benefits Management – Support the activity of defining policy and standards. Provide comprehensive knowledge and management of Benefits Management practice required for large, complex standard and major projects, programmes and portfolios
  • Change Control – Support the activity of defining policy and standards across the business. Lead the development of new methods and tools for change control.
    Data Analysis / Business Intelligence – Make recommendations based on data led decisions. Develop and implement comprehensive tools and strategies that allow raw data to be transformed into business insights.
  • P30 Delivery Support and Management – Provide specialist input, engagement and involvement with other business areas to support wider business outcomes. Part of the SLT supporting developing and driving the P3O profession
  • Delivery Assurance – Identify assurance requirements from relevant corporate and P3O governance arrangements to determine the ‘best fit’ assurance for the organisation

  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
  • Proven experience in implementing and improving PMO processes and procedures
  • Experience in managing budgets, timelines and resources
  • The ability to secure BPSS and SC
