Head of Finance and Accounting

TULA is looking for a Head of Finance & Accounting to oversee TULA’s daily global financial operations including financial Reporting, FP&A including all budgeting and forecasting, Accounting, and US & International Tax Compliance.

This person must have a strong understanding of all aspects of financial management including budgeting, forecasting, working capital management including cash management, GAAP reporting, and global corporate & sales tax reporting and compliance.

This person must also have strong leadership and team management skills acting as the overall orchestrator of our financial operations. This role will report to the Company’s VP of Finance & Operations and is based remotely.

  • Oversee and manage the global day-to day financial operations of the Company, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and tax compliance
  • Assist VP Finance & Operations with setting financial strategy for the Company and help to ensure progress towards strategic goals
  • Develop and lead strong finance & accounting functions with competent and committed team members.
  • Serve as the main finance & accounting point of contact between TULA and new parent company – Procter & Gamble by ensuring accurate and timely reporting as well as leading on all ad hoc deliverables & analysis
  • Assist VP Finance & Operations in establishing overall goals for the finance & accounting functions and ensure progress towards goals.
  • Lead the annual planning process and construction of the annual Budget and own total P&L Budget management including monthly Budget to Actuals process for the Company
  • Own all treasury & cash management and maintain all banking relationships
  • Lead international tax and new international consolidations process at TULA as we expand globally
  • Build and maintain relationships & processes across all functions to communicate financial metrics to senior management, anticipate the financial implications of decisions, in advance of actions, resulting in the ability to deliver consistent results; no surprises
  • Monitor the financial performance of the company including cash flow management and strength of balance sheet
  • Lead financial initiatives and projects across the organization including ERP, controls, new processes & procedures to increase financial acumen for the Company
  • Strategically source ideas to drive efficiency, improved controls, speed of decision making and financial insights to move the business forward
  • Lead cross-functional dialogue and provide guidance to the organization and senior leadership on financial processes and controls best practices and practical recommendations on how to get to that end state
  • Build relationships and partner with all departments to provide data and insights to help managers run the company and make effective decisions
  • Evaluate opportunities for scale and growth and consider ways to drive efficiency and automation
  • Anticipate risks / opportunities throughout the year, help to establish more formal contingency planning and risks & opportunities process at TULA.
  • Work with team to report financial data and ensure it is widely available to all stakeholders

Qualifications

  • 12+ years experience in a mix of Accounting & Finance
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • MBA and/or CPA a plus
  • International experience required
  • Cost Accounting experience or experience at a consumer products company preferred
  • A track record of building high-performing teams; you know how to hire, train and retain top talent
  • Strong project management and continuous improvement skills
