General Information
This position will serve as a scheduling analyst role on critical programs at Aurora Flight Science to support the Sustainable Flight Demonstrator program.
- Prepare, develop, coordinate, integrate, analyze, and maintain, integrated plans and schedules for proposals, projects, programs and major initiatives to meet program and/or project objectives
- Track, plan, schedule and perform risk analysis for projects, programs and change activities throughout the lifecycle of a program
- Develop and support integration of program plans and schedules, horizontally and vertically, across company functional, product groups, suppliers, and partners
- Coordinate and interface with other functions, such as finance, subcontracts, material controls and contracts
- Virtual positions will be considered, preference toward home locations within 2 hours from these sites:
o Manassas, Virginia,
o Bridgeport, West Virginia
o Columbus, Mississippi
Specific Responsibilities:
- Proposal Support – Work closely with program manager, capture lead and technical leads to:
- Reconcile detailed basis of estimates (BOEs) into the lowest level tasks in the IMS
- Work with Supply Chain and Contracts to collect supplier quotes and subcontract proposals and incorporate into the IMS
- Create a fully networked Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) using MS Project, Deltek Open Plan and Milestones Professional
- Load Resources onto Tasks and Activity custom fields into the IMS
- Ensure IMS adheres to industry standards, as required (ie: EVMS DFAR, DCMA 14-point, DECM)
- Perform Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA), if required
Project Planning – Work closely technical leads to:
- Plan the execution of setting the baseline IMS with the program team
- Support the finance team with inputs for project costs
- Perform Critical/Driving Path analysis
- Assist program manager with regular planning cycles
Progress/performance Tracking:
- Facilitate project status updates with the support of the Program Office (at least monthly) using earned value principles
- Meet regularly with technical leads and project managers to review project deadlines and activities; ensure Estimate to Complete (ETC) budgets, forecasts, and durations are properly reflected in the project schedule
- Analyze schedule performance and review schedule variances
- Perform schedule related risk and opportunity analysis and provide potential solutions to management
- Perform what-if analysis to assess schedule impact and support recovery planning with program management
