Role Description:
You’ll be responsible for (Responsibilities):
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of experience as a Software Tester or similar role
- Familiarity with Agile, hybrid Agile and waterwall frameworks
- Working knowledge of test management software like JIRA, JAMA etc.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Team player
- Good time-management skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer Science, Engineering or a related degree preferred.
- Experience of US State govt projects preferred (but not required)
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing design documents / user stories and/use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility
- Creating detailed test scripts based on design
- Maps and traces design/requirements with test scripts
- Performing test execution, capturing test evidence and logging defects
- Collaborate closely with other team members as needed
- Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)
- Design, develop and execute API test scripts using postman as needed
- Write SQL queries and per DB validations
- Detect, log and track defects across project lifecycle
- Come up with effective workarounds/ mitigations to make continuous testing progress
- Perform peer review of test scripts and defects.
- Apply quality assurance and quality engineering principals throughout the Agile as well as waterfall product lifecycles
- Provide support and documentation as needed
- Create and run basic automated tests using Selenium
