The Full-Stack Developer is responsible for crafting, planning, and developing different functionalities and processes within the Atlas software landscape. This person works in an Agile Scrum Team with developers globally to deliver improvements that support and drive the business
This position should be able to learn new technologies and tie business processes and requirements to full end-to-end designs. And develop with a test-driven methodology. The role will involve planning, design, development, and maintenance of our frontend and backend. The ideal candidate is very self-motivated and can work well both independently and within a team. They are a self-starter – eager to learn new technologies and consider security, performance, and user interface implications in their designs.
Preferred ability to work in a hybrid workplace in Piscataway, NJ., but we will consider fully virtual candidates as well.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop web services to support our Customer Development Teams
- Develop consumer-grade web-based applications
- Manage and maintain the data model
- Improve test coverage of existing codebases
- Work closely with internal team and external partners to ensure new developments align with a roadmap and integrate seamlessly with other platform components
- Collaborate with project partners and the agile team to ensure all requirements are met
- Support ongoing development for existing projects/applications
- Find opportunities to use new technologies to improve applications.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering or similar degree
- At least 2+ years of experience designing and deploying end-to-end web applications.
- Experience with web technologies, networking, debugging
- Experience with test-driven development methodologies
- Experience with Model View Controller development
- Experience with Python programming (Django experience is a plus)
- Experience with relational database technologies and data modeling
- Experience developing frontend web applications in a modern JavaScript framework such as Angular, React, or Vue
- Experience optimizing and scaling code in a production environment
- Experience managing source code with git
- Knowledge of and experience applying security best practices and patterns
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with containerization, Docker, or Kubernetes
- Experience developing applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience developing CI/CD pipelines and automations
- Experience with event-driven systems, streaming analytics, and distributed systems
- Experience working on Agile/SCRUM development teams
- Previous experience in a CPG company commercial experience or
- Experience in using user-centric design and applying User Experience concepts
