The Role

The Tech
Our frontend is a single page VueJS application, built on top of a RESTful Laravel API. Our legacy application uses traditional jQuery.
We don’t expect you to have experience in the exact tech we use, but we do require strong JavaScript fundamentals and a background working with reactive frameworks such as Vue, React, or Angular, and bonus points if you have experience with TypeScript.
What You’ll Do
- Build and improve the frontend of the new interactive, real-time Zingtree authoring tool.
- Help evolve our internal design system / language.
- Cross-collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, designers and QA in an autonomous, supportive team environment
- Build and maintain unit and integration tests (Jest and vue-test)
- Contribute to the overall product, design, & engineering culture within the company.

About You
- Have 2+ years of experience designing and building interactive applications in Vue or React.
- Are comfortable with Redux-like state libraries. (We use Vuex.)
- Value testing and documentation equally as much as you do coding.
- Extra credit: proficient with basic backend development in Laravel/PHP
- Have extremely high attention-to-detail, and love to obsess over UI/UX details which spark delight from users.
- Demonstrate understanding of reactive frontend frameworks, Javascript, REST, and modern browsers.
- Are comfortable with ambiguity and scoping solutions with your teammates
- Communicate equally clearly in writing, code and speech.
- Care fanatically about company culture, as we do.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and… Actually, just kidding!
- Having said all this, we’re also prone to impostor syndrome, so even if you don’t think you meet 100% of the above qualifications, you should still seriously consider applying.
