What You ll Do:

  • As the Federal Cloud Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a highly motivated technical team, maintaining our Federal AWS cloud environment, and providing first-line support to our Client.
  • Day-to-day operations include 24/7 eyes on glass monitoring of the environment for both technical and security related incidents, interacting and coordinating with our partner operations teams, managing our Cloud Services, including deployments (as needed), hotfixes, and assisting with system administration, incident call management, incident resolution, customer support, escalations, disaster recovery, and customer support. You will also mentor support technicians to meet the customer s needs.
  • Integrate and support partner Operations teams within the program
  • Oversee Service Desk, Event and Incident Management, and process integration with partner teams
  • Identify opportunities for process and event management improvement leveraging automation reducing MTTD/MTTR
  • Coordinate with Service Governance team regarding Incident, Problem, Configuration and Change Management Processes for all Cloud Services
  • Define and report Key Performance Indicators to monitor process health; define and report Customer facing service metrics.
  • Oversee Security incident and policy monitoring and guidelines for Cloud Services.
  • Constantly seek to improve, resolve, and streamline processes to meet operational challenges.
  • Directly manage assigned employee team. Carry out management and supervisory responsibilities following the organization s policies. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training; planning, assigning, directing work; setting objectives, and appraising performance.
  • Responsible for defining and documenting processes and Standard Operating procedures to bring about order and consistency.

What you ll Need:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field or related professional experience in a related field.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in large complex information systems.
  • 6+ of IT Management including data center, server, and storage management, virtualization, networking, systems management, and project management.
  • 4+ years of AWS background, including Cloud Architecture Certification
  • Effective Customer facing communication skills that build confidence.
  • Experience in managing production systems on a very large scale.
  • Experience utilizing Linux and Windows systems.
  • Understanding of operational concepts like change management, on call rotations, escalations, and uptime
