JOB PURPOSE:

The Executive Director, Business Intelligence is responsible for planning, designing, testing, implementing, and maintaining data, analytic, and reporting solutions, with the primary goal of providing key information for decision making for business users. This role will manage and lead a dedicated team of BI developers, database professionals, and Data Engineers. The Executive Director, Business Intelligence will champion and coordinate major architecture and solution designs related to data, data integration, data sourcing and transformation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as technical and functional design lead for strategic efforts and innovations in data, technology, and intelligence programs, including artificial intelligence, reporting, big data, analytics.
  • Own and drive implementation of hybrid cloud capabilities related to data and reporting, including establishing design and engineering patterns.
  • Identify and remediate risks through analysis, monitoring, and testing, and maintain all related policies and procedures.
  • Own the operations, strategic and structure of business data across the company within decision support systems. (This role doesn’t govern the data, but provides technology, frameworks and automation to support that business process)
  • Lead operational reporting team for execution of needed business reporting (BI) and leadership of team of data engineer, analysts and PowerBI developers.
  • Key role to support revenue cycle analytics to drive insight and ideas using current and historical data to monitor and predict performance around revenue cycle, particularly claims denials.
  • Key role to support appropriate tools for configuration of complex rehabilitation orders in partnership with functional and enterprise resource roles (in and out of IT).
  • Lead discussions on best fit data structures, solutions and definitions for predictive, automated and scaled data use
  • Work across teams to identify and qualify business opportunities, identify key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve roadblocks.
  • Manage the technical relationship across teams, including overseeing product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of additional technical resources
  • Work hands-on with stakeholders to demonstrate and prototype integrations into analytic data stores and uses.
  • Research, present new technologies and design patterns to apply to our business.
  • Aid project teams in requirements, conceptual and functional designs and code reviews and work estimates and deliverables for data structures, collection,
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution, using best practices.
  • Utilize Numotion Leadership Principles to perform the job with integrity, compliance, and values consistent with Numotion’s mission.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate degree in information technology or the equivalent in related work experience.
  • Seven (7+) years of experience in information technology leadership
  • Five (5+) years of experience with Microsoft (and other Relational DBMS) SQL Server, Azure and data warehouse environments.
  • Experience with infrastructure architecture including storage, computer, database, and networking.
  • Agile development methodology
  • Information delivery options to endusers
  • Change Management
  • Microsoft SSAS / SSIS
  • Expertise in PowerBI, Azure Data Factory, and data lake concepts and warehouse concepts
  • Familiarity with revenue cycle analytics, complex payer environments and contracts
  • Experience with data architecture for scale
  • Experience in, and understanding of, data and information management as it relates to OLAP and big data trends and issues within businesses.

PREFERRED COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology
  • Proficient in MS SQL, PowerBI and Azure
  • Experience with GitHub/GitLab and Azure DevOps pipelines
  • Azure Blob, dataverse, powerapps, data lakes, ML, Kubernetes
  • ETL Design and Implementation
  • Functional and Technical Design
  • Experience in Revenue Cycle analytics
  • Familiarity with R, Python, IOT, RPA (UiPath)
  • Ux, project management experience helpful
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/IT technology space.
  • Attitude of accountability, bias for action and sense of urgency and ownership to all work
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and stakeholders.
  • Ability to build and mentor a team of highly skilled remote professionals.
