Event Program Manager

Crawford Group is seeking an Event Program Manager for a marketing and management agency client of ours. In this role one will be the main marketing support contact for the client’s innovation conference programs. This Event Program Manager will work closely with the internal team and the client contact to support the marketing aspects. It will be a mixture of marketing/project management (75%) and strategic support (25%). The client programs are innovation oriented with a focus on cyber security topics.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage timelines for the Innovation programs
  • Serve as a sounding board for new ideas from main client contact. Determine whether they are grounded in good marketing practices and if they should be presented to/requested of the larger group
  • Provide copy and logistics information that can be included in newsletters, email, and other marketing vehicles
  • Supply images and copy edits to web team for implementation
  • Provide ongoing updates to web team – link changes, logo add-ons, time changes etc
  • Review various deliverables for grammar, spelling, and clarity. This includes typical marketing collateral and review almost any piece that is intended for an external audience
  • Work with external team partners to keep tabs on the PR schedule and ensure other supporting activities – social, web, sales etc. match the timing
  • Work with external social media agency to provide content updates, ensure deliverables meet all deadlines, and discuss current program registration numbers in case social activities need to be altered
  • Attend 4-5 weekly set meetings
  • Manage and execute various deliverables that are negotiated with various media sponsors
  • Review all print materials (Program Guide, Pocket Guide, Expo Guide, etc.) to ensure content, copy, and logos are correct

Requirements:

  • Excellent marketing/project management and communication skills
  • Possess a strategic mindset to collaborate and provide feedback on program ideas
  • Team player and with a preference for someone with agency experience that is used to working with multiple cross-functional teams

Location: Remote, U.S.
Duration: 8-months, Part-time, 25hrs/wk
Rate: D.O.E., 1099 consultant of Crawford Group
