Job Description
- As an Enterprise Architect, you will leverage your experience successfully delivering projects as a Solution Architect to provide guidance on technology and architecture for AEP’s technology teams.
- A successful candidate will have demonstrated their ability to build trusting relationships and work collaboratively across teams, job families, and levels of leadership to accomplish complex goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Contribute to and execute on IT strategy to ensure alignment with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Drive the development and maintenance of technology and architecture standards, policies and guidelines.
- Coordinate, review and approve projects to ensure that they are compliant with architectural standards policies and guidelines.
- Present to stakeholders on how architectural options will meet their needs.
- Monitor and analyze industry, technology and market trends to determine their potential impact or application for the organization.
- Participate in technology strategy decisions and provide consulting within IT teams.
- Help leaders and their teams think through the technology, business and operational implications of their technology investment decisions.
- Designs and delivers solutions to meet advanced business needs.
- Investigates and clarifies business unit painpoints, addresses issues.
- Develops and communicates solutions with options, leveraging standard reference architectures, design patterns, technology guidelines and standards.
- Produce all architectural solution and project deliverables without assistance
- May provide training and mentoring, as well as work direction, to others on the team.
This position is located in Columbus, Ohio but may be eligible for remote home based as long as selected candidate is within AEP’s current operating territory (WV, VA, TN, AR, KY, TX, OH, IN, MI, OK, LA)*

- BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor’s is required
- Experience: 6 years of relevant work experience is required.
- An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
