Enter the role of the Engineering Talent Manager.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage a diverse team of engineers, facilitating individual goal setting that is aligned with team and organizational objectives.

Identify skill gaps within a team, build, communicate and execute plans to help individuals grow and elevate team performance

Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to recruit high-caliber talent and effectively onboard them into teams

Develop comprehensive career plans for team members and support professional advancement of each direct report

Apply coaching and feedback model and develop team members and support their opportunity to grow and progress along their career journey

Foster cross-team collaboration aligning team operating models and outcomes to broader company values and mission and vision

Track and communicate data-driven insights on team health, culture, and performance. Collaborate to inform improvements and optimize team’s achievement of outcomes.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather feedback and provide insights into current performance and improvement opportunities

Stay abreast of the team’s technology stack and standards, proactively identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.

Cultivate domain expertise to bridge the gap between teamwork and the contribution of business value

Celebrate team success

Ensure team has an effective strategy to respond to incidents including on-call rotations

CareMetx engineering teams work standard work week in the East Coast Time zone

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 3 years of experience managing technical teams or individual contributors

Experience in recruiting, vendor management, and onboarding

Ability to gather data and provide analytical, actionable insights

Hands-on familiarity with Agile software development

Strong leadership presence with exceptional communication abilities

Coaching and mentoring skills to develop talent and foster careers

Experience building high-performing, and leading through organizational change management

Proven leadership through engineering team changes / restructures with resilience and strategic communication

Computer Science, Engineering, or related degree preferred

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to apply situational leadership

Facilitation skills to support teams in system thinking when solutioning across teams

Detailed oriented and highly organized

Excellent interpersonal skills

Experience managing a team in a healthcare or HIPAA-regulated environment (HIPPA, Benefits Verification, Prior Authorization) is preferred

Customer satisfaction focused

Other duties as required.
