Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an organized and collaborative individual to join our Engineering team. This role will be responsible for supporting formal bid proposals & quotes and project management of configured and engineered products under our Milton Roy line. This role works in supporting the sales team to ensure the efficient and accurate pre-sale and post-sale support activities for products serving the municipal water/wastewater treatment and general industrial sectors while adhering to safety and quality standards. This role will liaise with the factories to ensure smooth and timely processing and delivery of projects. The ideal candidate is a problem solver, communicative, adaptable and can meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects.
Responsibilities :
Project/Application Engineering
- Review industrial and municipal RFQ’s and specifications, and provide application engineering expertise in special applications (i.e. conceptual design of special configurations, evaluation of existing designs, basic modification of existing designs, etc.)
- Prepare and submit quotations and technical bid documents for configured and engineered-to-order products to include pumps, accessories and skid systems, utilizing a variety of product selection tools, internal ERP system and technical resources
- Provide technical support to Territory & Regional Sales Managers and Channel Partners
- Provide project management for pumps and skid system orders requiring special designs, submittal packages, special documentation, testing and inspection from order receipt through customer acceptance
- Liaise with factory reviewing product costing/pricing for pumps, and ancillary equipment by offering I2V where possible
- Lead Recurring Revenue program for consumables
Customer Support
- Coordinate with internal departments and outside suppliers for quoting and project management purposes
- Coordinate technical negotiations as needed.
- Assist with aftermarket application support and troubleshooting
- Identify training opportunities for channel improvement to make them more responsive and self-sufficient.
- Ability to quote, estimate and provide order management
- Investigate suppliers of value-added products to compliment branded offering
Training and Development
- Participate in training programs to improve engineering skills and product knowledge
- Identify training needs, coordinate sessions as required, and maintain training documents
- Follow IR policies and procedures
Quality Control
- Participate in production and quality discussions as needed
- Relay customer feedback with the NPD Team on new product launches including field testing, early adopters, etc.
Safety Compliance
- Follow all safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors promptly
- Attend monthly EHS trainings
Cleanliness and Organization
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow 5S principles (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)
Requirements:
- Bachelors’ degree in Engineering
- 5-10 years of related experience in quoting and/or project management preferred
- Experience with industrial products in municipal water/wastewater treatment and general industrial sectors preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot and support customer’s requests
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proficient computer skills (i.e. log on credentials (SSO), JD Edwards, and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel)
