Summary of Position:
Under the direction of the Digital Marketing Specialist, the Email Marketing Production Specialist will be responsible for the production and implementation of email marketing communication campaigns targeting the Educator audience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Internal Stakeholders:Partner with internal stakeholders to implement e-communication priorities, goals, and opportunities.
- Email and Campaign Production:Execute flawless production and deployment of emails, landing pages, and associated campaigns.
- Audience Management:Manage e-constituent audiences and segmentation to reflect personalized/dynamic content within email communications.
- Performance Tracking:Track and maintain e-communication performance reporting to help establish benchmarks overall, as well as specific to various education groups and touch points.
- Digital Asset Implementation:Implement digital asset plans, including those involving webpages and online forms.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support Digital Marketing Strategies:Partner to implement the Museums educational digital marketing strategiesfrom production and quality control (QC) to deployment and reporting.
- Collaboration and Approval:Work closely with project team members, including project managers, subject matter experts, managers, and internal stakeholders, to ensure the final product (including content) is vetted and approved in advance of deadlines.
- Technical Execution:Code and QC HTML emails, landing pages, and online forms across browsers, platforms, and devices, ensuring that web pages are Section 508 compliant.
- Optimization Testing:Develop meaningful A/B and multivariate testing strategies to optimize audience touchpoints, including messaging, templates, audience segmentation, and graphics/imagery.
- Database Management:
- Troubleshoot and resolve email database issues as needed.
- Import and export data from Museum systems as required to support marketing needs.
- Manage target audience and suppression queries for use in email campaigns, as well as advanced personalization and segmentation strategies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience producing mass emails in a non-profit or corporate environment.
- 2-3 years of experience working in large-scale digital marketing automation platforms/eCRMs, including Marketo, Salesforce, Luminate, HubSpot, etc.
- Advanced HTML email coding capabilities, and extensive QC experience.
- Experience with CSS, JavaScript, and open-source libraries.
- Experience with project management and/or approval tracking tools, such as Smartsheets, Trello, Workfront, Jira, Asana, etc.
- Working knowledge of UX and email industry best practices.
- Superior attention to detail.
- Ability to apply critical thinking throughout all aspects of work.
- Works well both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and clients while maintaining superior client and team relations.
