Your opportunity

We are currently looking for an EMR Support Specialist (Remote) that will support general operations of the Population Health Operations department, including the implementation team. The right candidate will demonstrate the ability to take initiative and work well with others. The EMR Support Specialist is dedicated to assist staff and providers with technical and navigational EHR support to increase efficiency and improve staff and patient satisfaction. This position will report to the Director of Implementation.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for overall EMR support.
  • Identify and troubleshoot EMR issues as they occur, owning the problem and seeing it through to full resolution.
  • Develop processes to increase system adoption and streamline patient care
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
  • Develop systems to optimize workflows within EMRs.
  • Responsible for training internal staff on use of EHRs to ensure client success.
  • Responsible for facilitating EMR integration as applicable.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

What will make you successful here

  • Associates Degree in a related field (Business or medical related field)
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as an EMR support specialist
  • Proficient with various EMR systems (REQUIRED): Epic, Oracle, Meditech, Evident, Altera, Netsmart, Propriety, Athenahealth, Practice Fusion, NextGen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Sense of ownership and comfortable operating in ambiguity
  • Solution oriented with the ability to think strategically and creatively in decision-making
  • Strong work ethic to exceed expectations and goals
  • Coachable and able to take direction and feedback well, yet being forward-thinking to challenge the status quo
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
