The Director of Software Engineering will work with multiple teams within the Technology organization. This person will provide domain expertise, oversee process improvements, and deliver on team projects. The Director of Software Engineering will work cross functionally with the company’s product development, infrastructure, security, and software development teams to provide customer-centric solutions and build a world-class service-oriented architecture for the Accurate ordering platforms to meet the exploding growth of the company and business demands. This individual plays a key role within the end-to-end phase of software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Oversee several key groups with the Technology organization including the QA, Release, and Application Support teams.
- Establish domain expertise and best practices in each of the aforementioned teams.
- Define and oversee metrics and objectives that will drive teams towards success
- Possess a clear understanding of the software development lifecycle, particularly around quality, release, and production support.
- Work collaboratively with Engineering and Infrastructure teams to foster a one-team mindset.
- Establish communication standards within Technology and the greater company business units
Qualifications
- BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience.
- 8+ years in the software development discipline
- Participated in multiple areas of the software development process
- Solid understanding of the Agile or SCRUM development process and software release processes.
- Must be a self-starter who is highly organized, hands-on, and a team player.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, startup environment.
- Experience working with cloud-based technologies such as AWS.
- Detail oriented, with strong written and verbal communication.
