Job Description:
Join our Product Management team and design a product that seamlessly connects the technical and business realms, catering to our customers’ needs and preferences. This role will involve dissecting complex business problems that contribute to WideOrbit’s success.
As the Director, Product Management for our WO Fusion Digital product you will be responsible for overseeing the product strategy of a significant and multifaceted product within our organization. This entails managing the success of the product, including go-live commitments, release management strategies, customer project management, and proposing solutions to customers.
As a leader of a product team, your objective is to strike a balance between understanding customer requirements and anticipating future needs. Your aim is to develop innovative and dependable software solutions for the media industry. In this role, you’ll enjoy autonomy and responsibility for the product you oversee, guided by general directives and quarterly objectives.
Here is what success will look like:
- Own and drive the roadmap of the products you manage including pilot roll outs, project goals and timelines. Execute effectively to achieve goals set by the Executive team.
- Continuously engage with customers, gathering market data and identifying pain points to analyze software needs. Define and prioritize features accordingly.
- Initiate and oversee product releases and enhancements to meet evolving market demands and achieve strong ROI in relevant markets and channels.
- Partner with our exceptional Software Engineering Team to transform prototypes and concepts into a user-friendly product.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and operational resources throughout the lifecycle of new features.
- Manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently while effectively handling changes in scope or timelines.
- Drive pertinent product management meetings and customer conversations, ensuring project goals and timelines are met, all while representing WideOrbit in a positive and professional manner.
- Contribute input and strategic ideas to enhance the overall success of the product.
- Lead by example as a leader who fosters collaboration with other teams, driving consensus, and motivating and coaching a team to deliver their best. This role will directly manage business analysts and product managers.
- Serve as a product evangelist, disseminating information to executive management and the sales team.
- Independently prepare and deliver business updates, product value propositions, plans and changes to executives and WideOrbit stakeholders, as required.
- Provide meaningful support to the sales function, including answering technical queries and educating prospects about the product(s) you manage.
To thrive in this role, we’re looking for:
- 8+ years of experience in product management or product marketings, with a focus on the digital media industry
- Proficient in the end-to-end workflow process, from product design inception to launch
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including demonstrated competence in presenting to executives
- Confident in promoting and selling WideOrbit’s products and services
- Ability to make independent recommendations and decisions, present ideas persuasively, and advocate for the direction of your product(s)
- Strong multi-tasking skills, capable of managing competing priorities to deliver products on time
- Exhibits a dedicated passion and positive entrepreneurial mindset
- Proactively collaborates with others to achieve goals and execute product strategy
- Creative problem-solver who excels both independently and as part of a team, fostering the development of others’ ideas alongside their own
- Strong leadership and management abilities, demonstrated by developing individuals, measuring achievements, aligning teams, and enhancing overall performance
- Server as an inspiration for product(s) under your management
- Proficiency in the functional competencies of product management, including product evangelization, design, project management, and planning. Able to train others in these areas
- Demonstrate grace under pressure
- Willingness to attend trade shows or marketing events as necessary to promote the product(s)
Location:
This position will be Remote/Telecommute.
Pay Range:
$160,000 – $200,000
Compensation:
The compensation range listed, and general description of other compensation and benefits will apply to this position. Various factors are considered to determine compensation ranges including market data, location, experience, qualifications, and skills. WideOrbit reserves the right to pay more or less than the salary and benefit information posted.
