We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Product Design to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving innovative and user-centric product design solutions. This role is responsible for leading a team of talented product designers to build and enhance our products to meet the needs of our customers. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and user research to deliver the most optimal experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the product design team to develop innovative and user-centric experiences across multiple platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, data scientists, and research to strategize, develop, and execute the roadmap
- Define and maintain a design vision and strategy that aligns with business goals and customer needs
- Hire, mention, and manage a team of product designers, providing them with direction, feedback, and guidance
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellent in design
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gain insights into user behavior and inform design decisions
- Monitor design trends and emerging technologies to ensure our products remain competitive
- Work with stakeholders to create compelling presentations and design proposals that effectively communicate design concepts and solutions
- Ensure all design work is delivered on time, to a high standard, and within budget
Requirements:
- At least 10 years of experience in product design
- Experience leading and managing product design teams
- Deep understanding of user-centered design, design thinking, and design process methodologies
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present design concepts to stakeholders and senior management
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Ability to think strategically, leverage and evaluate data
