Your opportunity

We are currently looking for a Director Patient Engagement Marketing that will work within the Operations department and collaborate closely with the Regulatory, Marketing and Product teams. The right candidate will be experienced in designing and leading patient and provider engagement marketing campaigns and utilizing customer relationship management (CRM) systems as well as marketing automation tools.

The role will involve developing new processes and leveraging marketing automation technology, and data to support marketing strategies and campaigns that influence patient behavioral change via successful multi-channel communication with patients and providers.

What You Will Do

  • Work closely across teams to design Patient Journey Maps that will engage and activate patient behaviors to improve outcomes and satisfaction
  • Determine success measurements for each point on the Patient Journey Map
  • Build and manage a small team of marketing professionals responsible for executing on the outreach strategy, including marketing automation and measurements
  • Set up and execute direct mail automation platform ( as needed
  • Develop patient & practice collateral in collaboration with Vytalize departments in collaboration with the marketing team’s copywriters
  • Partner with internal departments to ensure accuracy of all collateral content and copy
  • Develop a plan to leverage patient communication touchpoints to drive attribution and close care gaps by working with the population health team and product team to ensure systematic outreach.
  • Support patient engagement marketing campaigns through SMS, e-mail and direct mail methods
  • Develop and own the process for all collateral pieces through the approval stages: maintain a tracker to ensure timeliness of all collateral pieces
  • Support marketing operations vendor relationships and upkeep of marketing calendar with annual patient and practice marketing campaigns
  • Support the creation and distribution strategy for slide decks, one-pagers, FAQs, and summaries to key stakeholders
  • Monitor, measure, and analyze the effectiveness of current marketing initiatives
  • Ensure appropriate parties review and sign off on marketing materials prior to distribution
  • Quarterly review CMS, legal and compliance marketing regulations
  • Collaborate with Regulatory Operations on CMS approvals & guidelines
  • Deliver marketing reporting and measurement on a monthly basis

What will make you successful here

  • 5-10 years developing and managing direct to patient marketing campaigns for the Medicare population
  • Ability to bring teams together and use Design Thinking or other approaches to create a thoughtful and compelling Patient Journey Map
  • Ability to understand of how to measure the effectiveness of the patient outreach campaigns (quality scores, increased participation, and other related goals)
  • Experience with, and/or other CRM marketing automation platforms
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, a sense of ownership and comfortable operating in ambiguity
