Scopely is looking for a Director of Production, Features to join the Marvel Strike Force team working remotely in the US, Canada, or Mexico.

We are looking for a dynamic Director of Production to join our team and shape the future of Marvel Strike Force. The Director of Production will oversee the strategy, delivery, and quality of all in-game updates and features ensuring they meet both player expectations and business objectives. This is a tactical leadership role that will continue to have hands-on experience as well as grow high performing teams. You will report to (and lead the execution in collaboration with) the Executive Producer, and work with all business stakeholders of the game in managing the product through the various development cycles.
What you’ll do
- Drive execution of the production team to build an amazing F2P game that will delight and engage players
- Own the feature development pipeline end-to-end while continuously optimizing the feature creation process
- Partner closely with the game team’s VPs of Product and Design to deliver on short and long term development objectives and translate these into clear operation and action plans
- Take ownership of client and binary feature releases, ensuring alignment with demand and release cadence
- Have a detailed understanding of where the project is; the Production Director will be able to give a detailed overview of any part of the project, aware of how each area is tracking, the goals, challenges, as well as managing risk assessment while also defining mitigation plans that deliver on great outcomes for the product
- Direct the teams day-to-day activities while maintaining close communication with developers to ensure they meet deadlines, objectives and quality standards
- Create and lead a team culture where production maintains a strong standard for what good looks like by supporting, facilitating, tracking, and overall multiplying the efforts of the team to achieve their goals
- Identify major gaps in current workflows and foundational challenges in how the team operates as a whole, identifying & getting ahead of challenges, and directing leads in addressing complex issues / working to resolve them
What We’re Looking For
- Several years of experience leading and managing large production teams that have an established track record of releasing features for mobile gaming platforms that achieved or exceeded established KPIs
- Deep understanding of the breadth of production development methodologies and an ability to pivot processes based on the needs of the project and team
- Strong organizational and analytical skills; attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to motivate your teammates and influence without authority
- Understanding of KPIs, including but not limited to MAU, DAU, ARPPU and conversion rates
- Experience with external development teams; distributed development experience is critical
