Title: Director of IT Operations- Remote (Anywhere in the U.S.)

The Director of IT Operations at GuidePoint Security will work on the cutting edge of Information Technology and Information Security. This position is for a self-driven technology fanatic who consistently tinkers, tweaks, learns and improves. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, technology-centric environment, enjoys challenges with new technologies (Cloud and Mobile), streamlining traditional operations, can manage multiple initiatives and takes pride in enabling our employees with technology.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the company’s technology and security strategy.
- Oversee and manage all facets of our infrastructure, guaranteeing its reliability, scalability, and security.
- Provide timely and high-quality support for all supported hardware, software, and systems used by our internal team members.
- Coordinate the successful deployment of IT projects, including hardware, software, services, and policy implementations.
- Identify and address security vulnerabilities in collaboration with the CIS team.
- Participate in vendor selection, negotiation, and management for outsourced services and applications.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of all IT procedures, processes, policies, and guidelines, and ensure adherence to documentation standards.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to our user base.
- Supervise the recruitment, development, retention, and organization of support, systems, infrastructure, and architecture teams, while aligning with budgetary objectives and personnel policies.
- Provide leadership and direction in technology, vendor relationships, business partnerships, policy development, and standards adherence.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Exceptional client-facing and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals.
- Experience in managing dynamic cloud environments and local virtualized environments (e.g., AWS, VMware).
- Expertise in implementing and integrating SaaS applications.
- Strong background in Identity and Access Management.
- Familiarity with SOC2, PCI, and CMMC audit requirements.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proven track record in analyzing complex problems and issues, identifying patterns, and proposing innovative solutions.
- Experience in project management and system implementation.
- Outstanding interpersonal and problem-solving skills, coupled with demonstrated team management capabilities.
- Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented.
Educational & Professional Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
- 10+ years’ experience developing information technology solutions.
- Professional certifications such as Security+, ITIL, CCNA, PMP
Travel & Office Location
- Approximately 20% out-of-town travel to regional offices and/or data centers
- The Director of IT Operations will work remotely or the closest regional office when not traveling
