Opportunity:
- The Director of IT, Identity and Integrations, is responsible for providing organizational vision and leadership to DeVry University with encompasses the strategy, planning and management necessary to achieve this objective.
- This includes overseeing all activities associated with the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise solutions. These solutions serve the business and technical needs of the entire organization and encompass identity management, system/data integrations, and process automation.
Responsibilities:
- Directly responsible for managing the design, architecture, deployment, and support of solutions in the areas of identity management, system/data integrations, and process automation.
- Ensure that solutions and team adhere to defined control procedures including change, release, incident, and problem management.
- The successful candidate is a true believer that there is always room for improvement and utilizes a process and technology simplification/consolidation approach to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
The primary skills needed for this role are: leading teams’ solution design and architecture, and development life-cycle management. The Director will accomplish these objectives by collaborating and providing exceptional guidance to a highly skilled team. They will be directly responsible for managing technical staff to deliver applications to the business to a high level of business stakeholder satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum 10+ years of IT experience with 10+ years in IT Management leading technical teams and delivering solid enterprise-grade solutions.
- Strong background researching new technologies to help improve business outcomes
- Strong experience managing a team while balancing multiple high-impact projects while supporting existing systems.
- Strong experience with providing established mechanisms of facilitating business stakeholders through a collaborative process to prioritize work.
- Proven record of bringing new solutions to the University, building business case and determining ROI.
- Previous experience with enterprise technologies such as, Data Integration Platforms and Identity Solutions.
- Strong communicator, strategic and can see the big picture
- Experience collaborating with senior level business management on a regular basis.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, and to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing and prioritizing.
- Fundamental skills include listening, analysis, creative thinking and attention to detail, effective communication, and dealing directly with major department managers.
- Utilizes industry standards to recommend solid solutions and keeps abreast with the latest trends and technology.
- Applies foundational architecture and application programming concepts to designs.
- Manages colleagues who collaborate with other technical teams to ensure existing and new solutions align with IT organization initiatives.
- Recommends changes in architecture, development, and support of existing and new solutions and processes.
- Team and organizational development, including hiring, setting goals, tracking and managing performance to build and maintain a high performing team.
- Communicates and maintain a productive working relationship with user base of product/service line as well as all appropriate parties, both internal and external to IT.
- Reports appropriate and correct status to project leadership and/or leadership.
- Documents consistently and accurately on all application projects. All technical documentation (new development and maintenance) should be complete, understandable and accessible.
