We are looking for a Director, Product Operations – Journey management, to strengthen our rapidly growing team. We’re looking for someone with high data literacy, intellectual curiosity, and strong communication skills to partner with PM’s and scrum teams, represent client needs and work in partnership with leadership to ensure our customers find value in our Optum Digital Transformation offerings. The ideal candidate will have experience leading consumer centric innovation and digital transformation
In this role, you will nurture client relationships and support business development opportunities. The right candidate will bring design thinking experience, UX/UI design expertise, and a background in data repository/utilization and omni-channel customer technology/relationship management (CRM).

Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the Digital Transformation organization to ensure superior operational delivery for product initiatives
- Activities include oversite of client CBA development, partnering with the product owners, managers and scrum teams for feature development and backlog refinement
- Manage the Adobe Experience Platform as a product across UHG white representing United HealthCare’s needs with Adobe leadership to provide feedback into their product roadmap to enhance the Adobe Experience Platform
- Additional tasks may include providing regular status reporting, product roadmap updates, supporting the change management process, assist with annual planning, and other responsibilities as assigned
- Collaborate across United HealthCare lines of businesses to gather feedback and support their use of the Adobe Experience Platform and supporting products
- Partner with Digital Transformation practice leaders (Intelligent Automation, Digital Marketing, Consumer Experience, Data Transformation, Cloud Technologies), to ensure that our various teams run smoothly and have the resources they need to succeed as we grow within each practice area
- Partner with GTM & Sales to ensure materials, business practice, business process, requirement development and opportunities are fully understood and realized end-to-end product/initiate delivery
- Leveraging strong project management industry expertise and collaboration skills, identify required activities to successfully deliver the program, ensuring appropriate task assignments are in place
- Establish and manage client expectations through-out the project lifecycle; follow defined scope management processes
- Define and improve processes for product planning (including OKRs, KPI, SLA and product requirement frameworks), software development, and cross-team communication
- Set up frameworks and best practices for product teams to increase autonomy with accountability and alignment toward practice goals and client expectations
- Oversee the develop a consistent method to track product health metrics and customer adoption metrics to drive client planning
- Identify likely root causes for key product health gaps (using quantitative and qualitative data) and present recommendations to address them with practice leads on behalf of clients
- Collect, quantify & prioritize product-related challenges to be considered by product and engineering in future development. Understanding of how the product is being used in the real world and articulate that across B2B2C continuum
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience as a strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to bring Ideas to life
- 7+ years of experience in Digital platforms and customer engagement development in a B2B and/or B2C Technology organization
- 7+ years of eCommerce, Digital Marketing, and CRM strategy
- 3+ years of experience with experience cloud products including Adobe Experience Platform
- 3+ years of experience scaling an organization through growth
- 3+ years of proven ability to drive cross-functional project teams
- Proven excellent communicator with experience presenting to executive level leaders
- Willing or ability to travel up to 50% when needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Agile environment
- Knowledge of payment and/or risk management systems; industry experience
- Proven ability to adapt to rapidly-changing environments and work with cross-functional teams
- Proven ability to motivate staff and influence their tasks to align with organizational goals and priorities
- Proven self-motivated; able to work independently while coordinating activities with cross-divisional teams
- Proven team player; able to communicate with technical and business experts at all levels of the organization
- Proven methodical in your routine and pride yourself in the accuracy of your work
California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $118,000 to $226,800.
