Role will provide decision and process improvement support to leadership and team members of Banner Health’s digital experience. Through the creation, production, support and analysis of strategic experience, website engagement measures and goal setting you will recommend a course of action. Looking for someone with experience with SEO fundamentals, website building and monitoring that informs and motivates users to move through the digital marketing funnel. Someone who has provided strategic insight and optimized resources for a highly matrixed organization. Applicants familiar with Google measurement tools (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Business Profile), CMS/Sitecore, call tracking (Invoca), experience measurement (Crazy Egg/Medallia) and listing management (Yext), are encouraged to apply. Additional responsibilities will include management of local listings (locations and doctors) and the ability to contribute to strategy and optimization to maximize visibility and engagement.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for planning, building, maintaining and protecting the value of the organization’s reputation and content. This position creates and maintains positive relationships with internal and external constituencies through the utilization of a variety of media activities and techniques which present the organization’s position and business case to a broad or select group of constituencies. Incumbents should have specialized knowledge in at least one functional area of marketing or public relations (earned media, content, social media, community engagement, etc.) This position is responsible for managerial oversight, content guidance to assigned team members and collaborating with internal teams and matrixed leaders.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Provides ongoing development of the organization’s online web properties, including periodic website updates, enhancing functionality and usability/accessibility. Develops and implements standards to ensure website content is up-to-date, accurate and is maintaining consistent and integrated brand messaging. Keeps abreast of new developments and ideas.
2. Works with Customer and Brand Experience leadership to understand long-term strategy, execution of large and complex projects and implementation of programs. Collaborates with content, social, design, information technology and other project-based teams to enhance processes and transactions to ensure appropriate digital consumer experiences.
3. Supports the monitoring and reporting the performance of online properties through the effective utilization of web tracking metrics and benchmarking.
4. Manages traffic related to news media organization outreach and response. Ensures all news releases are well-written and accurate.
5. Manages earned media placement monitoring across offline and online media sources, and prepares appropriate regular reports from this monitoring that will track earned media progress towards its performance goal(s). Incumbent plays a lead role in the development and management of an online newsroom.
6. Manages social media publishing for Banner Health on priority social media channels including Facebook, Twitter and other channels, as appropriate. Evaluates and provides recommendations for various social media opportunities. Maintains plans for how Banner will enter into new and emerging social media channels or rationale for non-participation.
7. Collaborate with other department senior managers and the Customer Experience Center on social customer care listening and response. Participates in the use of social listening tools to monitor trending topics and inform others, as necessary.
8. Provides strong leadership to ensure Banner’s positive reputation in the community is upheld through news media and digital platforms like Banner’s website and social media channels.
9. This position will lead a team of marketing and public relations professionals as well as provide team members with business guidance as needed. This manager is able to foresee and resolve customer issues and provide solutions that meet the needs of the organization. Incumbents are to manage resources to resolve conflicting objectives and priorities and to stay within budget guidelines. Customers of this position include, but are not limited to internal and external: leadership (system, hospital-based, medical groups and networks), staff, patients and visitors, medical staff, regulatory agencies and agency partners. This position is a strategic contributor and leader that will support business planning, tactical execution and business integration of digital and earned media initiatives; inclusive of, but not limited to, website development, mobile presence, internal application development, content management, ongoing maintenance of digital channels, social media management and proactive/reactive news opportunities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess strong knowledge of business, marketing, communications, information technology or related field as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor’s degree.
Five or more years of previous experience. Additional supplemental experience as a writer or editor. Prior experience managing content editing, design, usability and development for large, complex web properties required. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work professionally and effectively in a diverse team environment. Initiative to take ownership of projects. Strong interest in health care and an enthusiasm for online media. Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously to completion. Must demonstrate general knowledge of marketing and healthcare. Needs experience in medium scale project planning and reporting, either individual or team. Requires communication and presentation skills to engage non-technical and technical partners. Requires ability to communicate and interact across teams and facilities and at various levels. Manager will have skills to mentor less experienced staff and team members.
Position requires proficiency in personal software applications, including word processing, generating spreadsheets, and creating graphics/presentations. Competent in content management systems, project management, change management, website measurement tools and experience utilizing HTML required.
