Job Description

The Digital Transformation UX Analyst role, within the Innovation and Emerging Payment Products team, will join a team of experienced product managers striving to engage our fintech partners by building a digital, end-to-end, self-service experience for Discover’s fintech partners who wish to explore, test, onboard, and go live with products that leverage Discover’s API product portfolio. This role will be critical to helping Discover design and build user experiences for partners who wish to leverage Discover’s API-driven products digitally transforming internal processes.

This role will work with a team of Product Managers and Product Owners, the fintech community, and various Discover teams across Product, Marketing and Operations to shape the way Discover interacts with our fintech partners across Discover products and service offerings globally. This will require a curiosity and deep understanding of the fintech partner experience, as well as the experience of our Discover product managers and onboarding specialists.

Responsible for the development of products that create an innovative, best in class experience for our customers. Responsible for capturing stakeholder feature requests, analyze processes, and design workflows at a high level. Defines and creates interaction flows, wireframes, review feedback on released features and drive new features in web or mobile apps. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

Responsibilities

  • Develops design concepts, wireframes, prototypes, usage scenarios, task analysis, specifications and other UX/UI design deliverables.
  • Defines and implements systematic approach to create clean and functional UI.
  • Participates in the product definition process with the team and drive the clarification of the user tasks and objectives.
  • Understands target users’ needs, motivations, and behaviors as it relates to a specific project or area.
  • Balances technical and delivery constraints when creating accessible and engaging user interfaces based on complex requirements and tight deadlines.
  • Utilizes Usability testing or A/B testing to present and validate design solutions.
  • Articulates user experience design issues effectively. Presents and builds consensus around design thinking and rationale with peers and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Graphic Design or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in UX Design or Information Architecture or related
  • In lieu of education, 8+ years of experience in UX Design or Information Architecture or related

Preferred Qualifications

  • Great attention to detail and passion for digital transformation
  • Experience with Design Thinking and prototyping
  • Experience with tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD
  • Experience with process mapping in tools such as Lucid, Miro, Blueworks Live
  • Experience working with Agile teams
