Title: Digital Marketing Strategist

Location: Remote – US

To help realize our mission, Invitae is looking for a Digital Marketing Strategist who will play a key role on the Marketing team. The Digital Marketing Strategist will collaborate closely with marketing team members to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive social media and email strategy. You will be the central hub for email campaigns and social media content & channels representing the Invitae brand across multiple audiences (including clinicians and patients), while being the internal email and social media champion for employees.

Responsibilities

Internal Subject Matter Expert

  • Research audience preferences and discover current trends
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness
  • Create educational tools and programs to help business channels become successful on social media
  • Watch our competition and make sure we are always a step ahead
  • Working with Brand Ambassadors and Sponsorships on social media
  • Be the internal subject matter expert to help marketing team integrate and maintain a cohesive social media strategy
  • Build and manage the social media calendar, balancing best practices and marketing needs across multiple audiences
  • Expert-level skills in marketing automation software (Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Hubspot, etc) and email marketing platforms, knows how to build effective marketing campaigns, and understands the full funnel of marketing strategy to grow the business.
  • Own the scheduling and deployment of all email requests across multiple businesses and audiences and provide recommendations to prevent email fatigue.
  • Function as the institutional expert on the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform for various functions and departments.
  • Design, write, build, and deploy email marketing campaigns, landing pages and forms to attract and nurture sales leads, convert and retain customers through our marketing automation system.
  • Build workflows, templates and processes to run email & SMS campaigns efficiently within Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Develop and test email and SMS content for dynamic content and personalization based on data and audience attributes.

Collaborative and Creative

  • Collaborate with marketing stakeholders to create social awareness and engagement regarding corporate launches and programs
  • Direct best-in-class and on-trend posts to sustain readers’ curiosity and create buzz around new products
  • Create engaging text in partnership with an agency, while working with designers to create image and video content
  • Suggest new ways to attract prospective customers, like promotions, paid campaigns and competitions
  • Working cross-functionally with marketing, product and design to execute on product launches and social campaigns
  • Work with marketing teammates to develop, document, and implement journeys using Journey Builder and Automation Studio to sync data between Salesforce Service/Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud.
  • Lead totality of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem from overall account management and implementation of new features to support end-users to ensure high adoption levels of functionality and features.

Data-driven Mindset

  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on social media Campaigns
  • Create educational tools and programs to help business channels become successful on social media
  • Report on online reviews and feedback from customers
  • Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics
  • Full end-to end management and optimization of paid social campaigns
  • Set up dashboards and campaign reporting, supervise campaign success, recommend strategies & tactics to optimize conversion rates, and implement testing practices.
  • Adopt a test-and-learn demeanor, and dig for useful insight within data by applying response analysis, A/B testing, and best practices to optimize all aspects of the email program.
  • Ensures all program assets and data management programs adhere to legal compliance including CANSPAM, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), etc.

Education & Qualifications

  • 3+ years work experience as a Social media strategist or Social media manager
  • BS degree in Marketing or relevant field and minimum 3 years experience with marketing automation and marketing software tools including Marketing Cloud and HubSpot.
  • Proficient in GSuite and project management tools such as Asana, JIRA
  • Ability to deliver creative content in partnership with an agency (text, image and video)
  • Experience in social monitoring in partnership with an agency and ability to act quickly and professionally when responding to direct messages and comments.
  • Expertise in online marketing strategies and marketing channels
  • Ability to gasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
  • Direct experience using social media management tools and metrics including but not limited to SproutSocial and Later
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments; flexible yet focused
  • Analytically-minded; know what metrics to track, and then track them
  • Experience handling relationships with external partners, including budgets, overall account management, etc.
  • Experience working collaboratively and managing relationships with cross functional-teams
  • Preferred but not required: Experience working in healthcare, life sciences, or biotech
