Designer Job Description
CodeHS is looking to hire a talented designer with graphic design and UX/UI experience to help elevate the brand image and platform. As a designer, you would work within the CodeHS marketing team to design marketing assets for various projects including blog posts, social media, newsletters, PDFs, presentations, storyboards, landing pages, and more. This role will also work closely with the engineering team to implement new platform designs.
Responsibilities:
- Understand the CodeHS target audience, strategy, and marketing initiatives to create visual experiences
- Create visually appealing and engaging designs for marketing collateral
- Produce social images and other templated designs as needed
- Design newsletter templates and graphics
- Layout and design new landing pages
- Update and maintain designs across existing pages
- Create UI/UX designs for the platform to improve user experience
- Work closely with marketing and engineering teams on design implementation
- Continue to create new design concepts as our brand evolves
- Help manage, develop, and support our overall visual brand
Requirements:
- 3 years professional design experience
- Work well independently and autonomously, a self-starter
- Works well in teams
- Professional and clear at email
- Extremely organized and detail oriented
- Passionate about helping students and schools
- Excited to work at a small company and make a big impact
- Experience working with Figma or other design tools
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS/Javascript a plus
