The opportunity

The Design Team Manager at TechnologyAdvice ensures the highest quality design solutions and brand authority across all portfolio properties, internal departments, marketing and sales initiatives. The work they’re responsible for supports the business and products that we offer.

The Design Manager is a thought leader in our business and will assist in determining brand development and guidance, design-thought leadership, and solutions that align with our business goals and support and further the brand voice of TechnologyAdvice and all portfolio brands.

What you’ll do

  • Manage the Design team, overseeing the daily workflow of all projects
  • Review and scope all incoming projects, developing appropriate creative briefs
  • Lead the design team through influences and builds on inspiration
  • Work with the Director of Digital Operations to build the Design Team’s voice, increase support across the business, and maintain quality standards
  • Identify and lead team training opportunities to improve the quality and efficiency of the team’s production
  • Assists in data analysis and provides insights and recommendations that align with the overarching creative strategy of the design team
  • Works alongside the Director of Digital Operations to identify strategic opportunities and new approaches to graphic design problems, creating frameworks or optimizations for common speedbumps

Who you are

  • 3-5 years of experience managing an in-house or agency design team
  • Experience managing multiple brands and families of brands
  • Strong understanding of design principles and techniques
  • Full proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Suite, Figma, Sketch, etc.
  • Knowledge of user experience and user interface design
  • Knowledge of WordPress CMS, HTML/CSS
  • Deep design skills with a love for typography and brand development
  • An outstanding design portfolio demonstrating wider strategic design thinking
  • Experience building and implementing brand standards, templates, complex co-branded systems, and brand relationships.
  • Agile professional who excels in a fast-paced environment and thrives on continuously pivoting strategies to drive business needs forward
