The Temporary Design Producer acts as a cross-functional liaison between internal stakeholders, part-time contractors (artists/art buyers), and/or design vendors for our instruction teams. As a Design Producer, you will operate across multiple teams, working closely with photo researchers, art buyers, designers, project managers, and editors to establish consistent and clear communication and ensure deadlines are being met, while supporting our engaging and innovative product lines.
The impact you’ll have:
- Act as “DEIB advocate” with the Access & Equity team and Editorial teams, ensuring DEIB targets are being met, and overseeing data entry and maintenance of the DEIB tracker and its reporting
- Manage back and forth of deliverables (holding/organizing deliveries and tracking approved art and hi-res images, policing naming conventions), and status reporting
- Track and manage image schedules on SmartSheet, working closely with project managers to ensure schedules are up to date based on design needs, alerting team members to actionable items and deliverables
- Confirm proper specs and track upload to our asset repository for all images, including credits
- Support process documentation to streamline team goals and delivery deadlines
- Provide up-to-date visibility into changes across product deadlines, progress, and priorities for image teams
- Knowledge-share with cross-functional teams around photo & illustration work, ensuring they are aware of image team needs from the beginning of the process and throughout
- Design Dashboard creation and maintenance (project-specific)
- Support creating systems and tools for image work
- Schedule and facilitate image reviews as necessary, and translate decisions from these meetings into actionable items to share with relevant team members
- Facilitate image resource/scope meetings to determine illustration and photo needs, and communicate goals to art buyers/contracted illustrators and in-house photo researchers
- Facilitate communication between Editorial, Design, Access & Equity, Marketing, and other stakeholders as necessary

- Sense of creativity and flexibility
- Solid understanding of image procurement processes (art buying and photo)
- Solid knowledge of SmartSheet process and workflow
- Basic understanding of print design process and workflow
- A bachelor’s degree or comparable experience
- 2+ years professional experience (Design-related a plus)
