What you’ll do with us:
KinderSystems is looking for a talented Database Developer to round out the ETL and Interfaces team. The role will be a critical part of a small team working with the client to design, implement, test, and deploy new import/export functionality for our existing enterprise solutions. The candidate will be intelligent, enthusiastic, creative, and a great communicator, with the knowledge and experience to develop and maintain complex ETL components.
Primary responsibilities:
- Work closely with clients via online meetings and JAD sessions to comprehend and understand primary objectives for data consumption
- Convert technical documentation into ETL processes for the intake of incoming client data
- Process incoming files via SFTP or API’s and load data into primary staging tables without data loss or corruption using ETL related tools
- Validate and clean data where applicable before loading into final staging tables
- Disperse validated data into multiple tables, respecting database constraints and key relationships, and log/report errors where applicable
- Work closely with technical leads, DBA’s, software engineers, and project managers
- Document technical details and continually work to streamline internal processes
Who you are:
- Minimum 2-3 years of knowledge and experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Knowledge and understanding of ETL-related processing and best practices
- Thorough understanding of T-SQL programming, including the development of stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views
- Ability to understand and convert technical design documentation into ETL processes and coding
- Good working knowledge of Relational Database Design
- Team player capable of working in a small group as well as independently
- Strong interpersonal skills in communication, planning, organizing, analyzing, and problem-solving
- Experience working with Jira is a plus
