Job Overview:
A Data Solutions Architect is expected to be knowledgeable in two or more technologies within (a given Solutions/Practice area). The Solutions Architect may or may not have a programming background, but will have expert infrastructure architecture, client presales / presentation, team management and thought leadership skills.
You will provide best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects; you will assist in defining scope and sizing of work; and anchor Proof of Concept developments. You will provide solution architecture for the business problem, platform integration with third party services, designing and developing complex features for clients’ business needs.
You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high quality solutions, participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients’ business needs. Expertise in data solutions, business intelligence, and analytics is needed. You will also contribute in a variety of roles in thought leadership, mentorship, systems analysis, architecture, design, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation. You will challenge your leading edge solutions, consultative and business skills through the diversity of work in multiple industry domains.

RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a technical solution architecture and delivery leadership role which requires proven technical solution delivery leadership experience within the modern, cloud-based data and analytics solution domain.
This role involves leading a team of architects and developers to design, implement, and grow a modern, cloud-based data lake, warehouse, reporting and analytics solutions.
This is a leadership role on a large multi-shore team, requiring direct leadership, guidance and oversight to a team of architects and implementation/development leads.
Very strong communication, interaction and consulting skills are essential for success in this role, including the ability to collaborate and negotiate with other architects, communicate status to the project/program/scrum leads, as well as executive stakeholders.
This role requires strong understanding and experience working with solutions/architectures that employ AWS S3, Redshift, Glue, DynamoDB, Lambda, and EC2 service/functions, as well as Tableau’s BI/Visualization tooling, and includes providing architectural definition for the integration, implementation, and operational processes which make up the solution.
This role requires a firm understanding of the capabilities and specific considerations which must be taken into account throughout the architecture, implementation and operational phases of the solution/project.
This role includes consideration and guidance to support design and implementation of the DevSecOps and DataOps components of the solution and project
This role does not involve hands-on implementation, configuration or coding, however does involve directing and guiding the technical resources that will perform the hands-on implementation, configuration, and coding.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must-have Experience
2+ consecutive years working within a single project in a similar role as described here as a technical leader, leading a team to design, implement, and deploy an AWS based solution, including the AWS services and functions described here, and including modern DevSecOps and DataOps practices.
2+ consecutive years working within a single project in a similar role as described here as a technical leader, leading a team to design, implement, and deploy a Tableau BI/visualization solution.
5+ years experience working as a technical architect within the Data Warehouse and BI Analytics domain.
3+ years working as a solution architect within the Data Warehouse and BI Analytics domain.
2+ year collective technical involvement with custom application development solutions
Must have experience working within an Agile Scrum structure with the ability to seamlessly use Jira and Confluence for work articulation and tracking
Experience leading large multi-shore teams required; prefer leadership experience of teams with 7+ architects supporting 45+ person multi-shore team
Experience presenting and defending technical solutions to corporate enterprise architecture committees necessary
Preferred but not essential experience
Experience working with data tenancy/ownership and data segregation management at the presentation Layer at scale
3+ years working a solution based consultant (employee) for a mid to large consultancy is strongly desired
Experience working with healthcare PBM or traditional healthcare Payer/Plan experience strongly desired
Experience working with accounting department reporting (complex manufacturer/supplier sales and fulfilment contract hierarchies) strongly desired
