ScienceLogic is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our team, where you will leverage data to uncover insights, build predictive models, and support data-driven decision-making. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, apply statistical analysis, and deploy machine learning solutions. What you’ll be doing…

    1. Data Analysis & Modeling:
      • Analyze complex datasets to extract actionable insights that inform business strategies and operational improvements.
      • Build, validate, and deploy predictive models and machine learning algorithms tailored to solve business problems.
      • Use statistical techniques and data visualization to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
    2. Feature Engineering & Data Preparation:
      • Identify relevant data sources and work with data engineering teams to gather and preprocess data for analysis.
      • Perform feature engineering, data transformation, and data cleaning to prepare datasets for modeling.
      • Work with structured and unstructured data from various sources.
    3. Model Deployment & Monitoring:
      • Collaborate with software engineers and DevOps to deploy models into production environments.
      • Monitor the performance of models over time, recalibrating and optimizing them as necessary.
      • Design and implement A/B testing frameworks to evaluate model effectiveness and impact.
    4. Continuous Learning & Innovation:
      • Stay up-to-date with advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI technologies.
      • Experiment with new techniques and tools to improve existing workflows and introduce innovative solutions.

Qualities you possess…

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field.
  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in building and deploying machine learning models and data analytics solutions.
  • Strong experience with statistical analysis and predictive modeling.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or R for data analysis and modeling.
  • Experience with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, Tensorflow or PyTorch.

As a plus, you have…

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for data science and machine learning.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies like ClickHouse, Spark, Hadoop or Databricks.
  • Knowledge of deep learning techniques and NLP (Natural Language Processing).
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with database querying.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib).
