SUMMARY
The Data Analyst will provide research support, analyze information sources, produce reports to assist decision making and technical assistance for USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA), Farm Loan Programs (FLP). Works on the Security Inspection and Operational Review program assessment data in support of multiple pilot programs. Data captured and analyzed will showcase key findings of the pilot program and be presented to the National USDA office for decision-making.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Works with the state field offices and contract team to receive regular data updates from the pilot programs, records and organizes data, and loads data into collection site.
- Supports the Project Manager administrator in maintaining the consolidated dataset for all pilot programs.
- Creates, maintains, and executes a data collection procedure and filing system to support the pilot programs and state field offices and other tools as needed.
- Assists with developing monthly data reports and requests, on both a recurring and as-needed basis.
- Provides ongoing user support and troubleshooting.
- Assists with developing data tracking procedures and protocols for pilot program for program follow-Up and for future phase decision making.
- Monitors data integrity of information captured and recorded in pilot programs and notify appropriate personnel of data impairments.
- Supports team requests with analysis and evaluation of data captured from pilot programs.
- Assesses adequacy of existing data for reporting requests.
- Assists team with troubleshooting technical issues, conducting queries, and retrieving data from various systems.
- Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.
- Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
- Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree and at five (5) years’ of government experience. Experience multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment required.

- Knowledge/experience with Microsoft Professional Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint).

- Knowledge of how to create and apply the most accurate algorithms to datasets in order to find solutions.
