Graylog is an award-winning centralized log management and SIEM (Security Information Event Management) solution that enables fast and efficient log analysis in the areas of security, compliance, operations, and DevOps. Our enterprise solution enables organizations globally to capture, store, and analyse terabytes of machine data in near-real time while our open project which has been deployed in more than 50,000 installations worldwide, empowers individuals and small teams to perform basic log consolidation, analysis, and search functions at no cost.

Who we’re looking for;

We’re building out a new global Creative Team to own website/ SEO, brand, creative development, and content and as such we’re recruiting a Creative Director to lead this effort.

Graylog has grown by roughly 40% this year due to thoughtful, measured, and sustainable expansion to be in the best position to serve our customers, partners, and employees’ needs. It’s time to bring our website and creative programs in-house for greater control, efficiency, and capacity.

We have recently migrated to WordPress and are looking forward to the flexibility and rapid development now at our fingertips.

The Creative Director will report to our Chief Marketing Officer based in Colorado, US.

This role is a full-time permanent position based in North America.

Expectations of the Creative Director will include ownership of;

  • Website performance optimization- page load times, 404s, deal with outages and technical issues that contribute to reduced engagement
  • Improving website engagement- bound rate, time on page, #pages visited, etc.
  • Website conversion optimization- design and execute a/b tests, use heat mapping tools, change copy and design to improve form fills and content engagement
  • Increasing traffic to the website- SEO, backlinks, etc. to drive more visitors in coordination with the Demand Generation team’s PPC efforts
  • Own, execute, & maintain visual brand through brand guide, graphic design, website, booth design, conference signage including management of external contractors to assist
  • Copy writing- engaging web page headlines, landing pages, ad copy, the short and punchy stuff
  • Own content marketing plan and execution- driving agreement on core topics, developing & reusing content across multiple mediums (video, podcase, infographics, animations, blogs, papers, web pages)
  • Coordinating with demand generation team for execution, ongoing optimization, and conversion to opportunities/ pipeline
  • Quickly adapt existing content for highly- targeted ABX campaigns or to fills gaps in demand generation campaigns
  • Partner with Product Marketing Director to develop in-product content for PLG efforts (videos, animations, copy)
  • Collaborate with Product & Engineering Teams on Graylog UI to maintain harmony between website and product

In your first 90 days, these are the types of projects you can expect to be working on or overseeing;

  • Thorough review of website metrics and SEO strategy to identify any ‘quick wins’ and establish a 3–6-month plan for improvement
  • Build 2023 strategic plan and vision for growing website traffic, engagement, and conversion through visual, copy, technical, SEO, and content improvements
  • Work closely with our current agency on Phase 2 of website refresh for a more consistent brand experience
  • Design new booth property for RSA conference
  • Update brand Guide for harmony with product and Graylog event variations
  • Monthly travel to Houston or Colorado

  • Design tools like Adobe Creative Studio
  • Hubspot landing pages experience
  • Previous experience working with GSuite/ MS Office ‘especially slides/ PPT templates
