We are looking for a Content Writer to focus on our SEO Content product for our clients in the Home Services and Healthcare industries. Socius Marketing provides clients across the U.S. Canada with full-service digital marketing solutions including SEO, PPC, paid and organic social media, website development and design, and more.
The Content Writer will be responsible for creating blog posts, articles, website content, and other types of digital content. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and communication skills, a strong understanding of SEO best practices, and experience in writing for various digital platforms. The candidate should be able to work under tight deadlines, have experience writing 24,000+ words per month, and have a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest trends in digital marketing and SEO. This role will require the ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with the digital marketing team to create compelling and effective content that drives traffic and engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Write monthly SEO website content with internet searchers in mind
- Maintain a minimum number of pages based on the Content Writer Capacity Model
- Perform research on various assigned topics
- Analyze and interpret data to use in website content
- Edit and proofread content you’ve written
- Stay up-to-date with SEO best practices
- Post and edit website content in WordPress CMS environment
- Attend client meetings, participate in client coordination and internal meetings as needed
- Take time for ongoing education by taking Udemy courses, watching webinars related to writing/editing, content marketing, etc.
Skills and Experience needed for success in this role:
- Excellent writing skills
- Familiarity with a range of writing style guides (emphasis on AP Style)
- Experience as a writer, editor, or marketing professional
- Computer and software proficiency (MS Outlook/Word/Excel, Google Docs/Sheets, etc.)
- Ability to follow and hit milestones and strict deadlines
- Capability to perform in-depth research and fact-checking
- Ability to write quality, factual content that is free of spelling errors, grammatical errors and inaccuracies
- Basic editing and proofreading skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience using AI content tools for research
- Experience posting/editing content in WordPress or similar CMS platforms
Where:
The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation: The target base compensation for this position is $45,000 to $55,000 USD per year in most US locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
