Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute and support B2B marketing communications, content marketing and content strategy initiatives within UnitedHealthcare’s Employer & Individual (E&I) business segment
  • Partner with key marketing and sales stakeholders across the division to hone key messages and audiences and identify appropriate distribution channels for thought leadership, operations, regulatory and product marketing content
  • Lead day-to-day operations for E&I’s owned content marketing and communication channels for B2B audiences, including email, websites and LinkedIn; manage incoming requests and consult on tactical approach
  • Write and edit communications about regulatory, operational or product updates as needed
  • Collect and analyze performance data and analytics from across our channel ecosystem; identify trends and recommend opportunities for optimizations
  • Prepare regular reports on performance; socialize them with the immediate team and other stakeholders
  • Own and manage day-to-day operations of social media amplification and engagement program involving sales and account managers
  • Support E&I’s B2B content and document management efforts; serve as backup for content management specialist
  • Conduct content audits on a regular cadence; work with content owners to ensure consistency and relevance of our content across owned channels
  • Collaborate with other Creative and Content team members and resources to ensure consistent management and administration of projects using the team’s project and content management systems
  • Solve complex problems; identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems

  • Excellent written and verbal business communication skills that are concise, candid and professional

  • Ability to work independently; results driven; able to be flexible and work with ambiguity
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, including familiarity with AP Style

  • Ability to develop tactical communication and marketing plans for B2B audiences
  • Ability to analyze analytics data against KPIs; to spot trends and anomalies, and identify potential optimizations
  • Proven project management skills and ability to manage multiple deliverables on aggressive timelines
  • Proactive self-starter; with sense of urgency to achieve results within a matrix organization

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, journalism, English or related field
  • 2+ years of experience with marketing, business communications, content marketing or content strategy in a corporate, education or agency setting
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn
  • Solid proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience planning and executing marketing communications activities for B2B audiences
  • Past experience working with social media management tools
  • Experience creating campaign or website performance reports
  • Exposure to, participation in or experience working with social media employee advocacy programs
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Analytics or similar analytics suite

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $54,400 to $97,000. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $60,000 to $106,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
