Content Marketer

BuildWitt is a startup on a mission to build a better Dirt World by solving the biggest problems in the heavy civil construction, earthwork, and mining industries.

How you will get to help us do that in this role:

You will plan, guide, and create our content marketing strategy for our core offerings across all inbound and digital channels including social media, email, blogs, and lead generation to drive demand for our products and services.

Our ideal candidate is a creative marketing professional with a strong writing background. You should be able to manage and write engaging content to attract, educate, and retain customers, as well as delve into data to inform best practices and share those insights with teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and publish compelling marketing content
  • Design content marketing strategies that factor in personas, content pillars, funnel phases, and other marketing components
  • Look at content holistically and develop the standards and best practices for content creation, distribution, maintenance, repurposing, and reimagining into other assets.
  • Manage and audit department-wide content calendar to ensure execution is in line with strategy
  • Optimize content and web traffic considering SEO and Google Analytics
  • Collaborate with marketing to create, write, and edit engaging content for various channels, including blog posts, email campaigns, website copy, case studies, and whitepapers
  • Utilize data and performance metrics to generate content ideas that increase quality leads and customer engagement

  • A creative at heart who’s passionate about storytelling, challenging existing ways of thinking, and execution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling copy and engaging content that drives results
  • Understanding of how content type selection impacts performance across channels and audiences
  • Proficient in content management systems, email marketing tools, and content scheduling and tracking platforms
  • Deep knowledge in using data and insights to guide decision-making
  • Bonus points if you’re familiar with They Ask, You Answer
  • Experience managing creation and promotion of content across all stages of a customer’s journey and across omnichannel experiences (social, email, web, paid media, white papers, blogs, offline, etc.) to drive business outcomes
  • An understanding of paid search and social
