Job Description

Alight s Consumer Experience practice is seeking a Communication Implementation Consultant to join our team. Our consultants are passionate about developing creative strategies to solve problems, shift perceptions and drive employee behaviors for our clients.

As a Communication Implementation Consultant, you will apply your effective communication, change management and consulting skills to develop strategies that achieve your client s goals and objectives. You will lead large communication implementation projects for select clients. You are a skilled communication strategist who confidently guides your internal team of content developers, designers, project managers and technical experts to deliver quality work. You are experienced in developing and implementing complex digital communication strategies that engage users and produce results. You also will contribute to business development initiatives and practice growth.

This is a virtual / work-from-home / remote opportunity available anywhere in the U.S.

The Communication Implementation Consultant responsibilities include:

  • Managing large, complex client implementation projects and relationships
  • Planning strategic development of effective multi-media communication and change management campaigns that inspire consumers to take action
  • Staying current with communication trends and demonstrating fluency with delivery channels.
  • Consulting with select clients at the senior HR level
  • Anticipating client needs through the study of industry trends and the business environment and addressing them with the savvy application of human insight, creative strategy and friendly technology
  • Helping to build cohesive, high-impact teams, leveraging colleague skills and talents
  • Proactively identifying and addressing downstream impacts through cooperative problem solving
  • Working collaboratively with other workstream leads to deliver large multi-service, complex communication projects successfully.
  • Mentoring and coaching junior consultants
  • Identifying opportunities to extend and expand work with existing or new clients
  • Contributing to proposals and advancing sales initiatives

Required skills, experience and technical knowledge:

  • Exceptional communication skills, demonstrating creativity, as well as HR/benefits and digital communication expertise
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience
  • Comfortable engaging with and presenting to clients
  • Able to assimilate source materials, input from subject matter experts and other relevant documentation to create strategic recommendations and content
  • Able to understand role on project/team, while going beyond to add value
  • Able to collaborate efficiently and effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Accountable for assignments/projects to ensure they re delivered with excellence and profitability
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching, leading, motivating and/or managing people
  • Able to partner with subject matter experts from other lines of business
  • Can learn and apply new technologies
  • Software fluency, including the Microsoft 365 suite and Adobe Acrobat
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills and experience working in formal project management routines
  • Ability to effectively balance and prioritize multiple competing deadlines and workflows
  • Demonstrated presentation and business development skills
  • Flexibility to travel (up to 15%)


  • Bachelor s degree or higher in related discipline.
