Position Description:
CGI is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to join our team!
Looking for someone who can apply deep technical expertise to the design, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of security and related services in an AWS / hybrid cloud environment.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of security engineering in the AWS environment
- Implements security architectures for cloud/hybrid solutions
- Thoroughly documents implementations, via technical documentation, diagrams, and run-books
- Serves as technical lead for security administration activities, both performing hands-on security administration and guiding other team members in the execution of security administration and related tasks
- Serves as technical lead for security remediation activities
- Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) for security tools, applications, and processes, including Rapid7, Twistlock, Cortex, and ScouteSuite IBM Guardium, Splunk, PKI, Tripwire EA, Symantec DLP, FireEye HX/NX/EX, RSA Security Analytics, MicroFocus Fortify, and Static Code Analyzer
- Works with Information Security Officer to design security solutions in support of policy and operational requirements
- Serves as a member of the Security Incident Response Team to address issues across development, testing, and production environments in both on-premise and cloud environments
- Works with Application and Infrastructure Architects on issues related to security design and architecture, and assists with proof-of-concept testing
- Supports proofs-of-concept design and testing activities and supports the development of change requests, white papers, and proposals with security service components
- Works with peers within and beyond the Operations team to define and characterize complex technology or process problems and develop & implement new solutions
- Works with peers to review and analyze security tool reports and establish a remediation plan
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- AWS Certified Security – Specialty, or equivalent experience
- Understanding of secure-cloud configuration, (CloudTrail, AWS Config, etc), cloud-security technologies (VPC, Security Groups, etc.), and cloud-permission systems (IAM)
- Experience with a broad array of security technologies, such as NGFW, WAF, SIEM, endpoint security, and more
- Experience with NIST Security Standards especially 800-53, and OWASP
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Science / Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field OR equivalent experience in a technical position OR equivalent military experience
- Ability to exercise independent judgment in driving technical problems to resolution
- Ability to work across organizations (CGI, Client, State Data Center, Vendors) to drive issues to resolution
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills:
- Ability to communicate complex technical information to less technical staff (e.g. CGI management and client staff)
- Strong understanding of broader technology context (e.g. cloud services, server, and storage technologies)
- Experience planning technical implementations of security services (e.g. developing work breakdown schedules, estimating task efforts and durations)
- Ability to mentor other team members in areas of technical expertise
- Experience working in an outsourced/managed services environment with some client-facing responsibilities (e.g. technical discussions with the client)
Est. Salary Range (Colorado Only): $84,000-$145,000*
