Business Integrity’s mission is to ensure safe and trusted connections between people, businesses, and Facebook. Our team works together to anticipate and predict potential threats to our platform, design and build tools to protect against these threats, and then implement and enforce these systems at scale. We leverage data analysis, machine learning and a robust infrastructure to review the quality of promoted content on our platform. We partner closely with several cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and data science, to ensure high quality and safe experiences for both people and businesses across the Facebook family of apps. Business Integrity Associate, Technical Responsibilities:

  • Build/maintain data infrastructure (data pipelines, aggregated data sets, reports, dashboards) to monitor the performance of our operations and drive business understanding
  • Perform analytics to measure effectiveness of Operations and drive improvements in our managed and internal-partner ecosystem via strategic partnerships and insights
  • Partner with Operations, Data Science, Data Engineering, Product and Engineering teams to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities using big data
  • Apply quantitative skills to and incorporate qualitative insights to inform and influence strategy for Business Integrity Operations, our Global Sales teams, and our partner Product organization

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree
  • 2+ years of work experience in a role involving strategic/analytical initiatives (i.e. operations, project management, consulting experience, data analysis or technical systems)
  • Proficiency in querying and manipulating complex raw datasets for analysis using SQL and at least one scripting language (PHP, Python, Perl, etc.)
  • Experience with reporting systems, and data pipeline architecture, and leveraging data to make decisions and solve problems
  • Experience resolving, communicating, and presenting issues & insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working and communicating with global teams
  • Experience with statistical analysis, and a statistical package such as R, MATLAB, SPSS, SAS, or Stata
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker)
  • Advanced technical degree with a quantitative focus (Economics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Math, Statistics)
  • Experience working with or in support of diverse communities
