Please Note: Work location for this role is FLEXIBLE! This position allows 100% remote work from home or allows work to be performed in any of our major office locations with a hybrid schedule.
Get to Know the Opportunity:
You will be the manager of IT professionals for Salesforce and Sales Data processes on Snowflake. Your team will consist of a Tech Lead for Salesforce Developers, Tester/Admin, Scrum master and Business Analyst. You supervise managers and senior individual contributors and be directly responsible for results produced by the team/group/sub-unit managed.
The Contributions You’ll Make:
- Ownership of key technical aspects of the Salesforce platform, including custom development, with a bias toward using native functionality and Lightning components
- Evaluate complex business and technical requirements, and communicate inherent security risks and solutions to technical and non-technical business owners
- Perform technical analysis, level-of-effort estimation, design, development and implementation of applications with necessary customizations and integration
- Work with Apex code, Javascript, Visualforce pages, Lightning components and other technologies to build scalable solutions that support business requirements
- Salesforce development experience with apex triggers, future methods, apex web services, batch Apex and Salesforce APIs
- Database experience writing queries in SOQL/SOSL, working with Data Loader, Workbench and ETL tools to perform bulk data updates.
- Own and maintain data modelling and data transformation logic using ETL tools to support data workflows across integrated business systems.
- Experience with VS code and Git and AutoRabbit
- Research and find opportunities to utilize Salesforce best practices, guidelines to improve system productivity, scaling and monitoring.
- Familiarity with agile software delivery methodologies such as Scrum.
- Experience with Salesforce Cloud platforms – Service, Sales, Marketing and App Exchange Products.
- Certified Salesforce Developer qualifications are desired.
Minimum Knowledge & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a directly related field; Master’s Degree preferred and/or equivalent work experience.
- Ten years of progressively responsible experience in IT.
- Prior experience leading a Salesforce team
- Solid understanding of Sales Distribution process, transaction flows, territory, and expense management
- Knowledge of benefits of mastering advisor data from various external sources such as Broadridge, Discovery and SalesConnect.
- Familiarity with Snowflake environment
- Demonstrated success in project management and execution with involvement in multiple major projects or a sustained record of success delivering complex IT services to a diverse clientele.
- Strong understanding of financial service and insurance business and technologies.
- Significant experience in multiple areas of IT field, including new computing architectures, systems support strategies, IT Services and/or process and project methodologies.
- Demonstrated success in project management and execution involving multiple major projects or a substantial record of success delivering complex IT services to a diverse clientele.
